Ross’s live performances often include songs he has written that have been recorded by other artists and ministries, alongside his own original music in a Singer-Songwriter style Acoustic Concert or Ministry speaking engagement.
In a live setting, those songs take on a personal feel as Ross shares the stories, humor, faith and life experience behind the music. The result is an event that feels both familiar and disarming, rooted in worship, honesty, and hope.

Historically, Ross played a foundational role at Breakaway Misnitries, a massive campus ministry at Texas A&M University, and is often credited with establishing the ministry's musical identity after following Chris Tomlin as it's Worship Leader. The ministry grew from 1000-7000 students during his tenure there, and Ross recorded several live praise and worship albums for the organization, featuring many of his own compositions. Ross recorded his first album, "Too Much Free Time", with Chris Tomlin during this era.
Ross King’s solo career is defined by his transition from a worship leader at Texas A&M's Breakaway Ministries to a prominent independent artist and staff songwriter in Nashville. Known for "challenging the norms" of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), his work often blends theological depth with personal storytelling. He has sold over 40,000 copies of his independent albums, including the acclaimed "Unfinished" album in 2021. His most famous song, "Clear the Stage" (2002) became a defining anthem for a generation of worship leaders, stripping away the spectacle of modern ministry to call out a simple, humble heart of true devotion.
With over two decades of Christian Music industry impact, Ross King serves as a "songwriter’s songwriter," using his seasoned perspective to dismantle performance-driven religion and lead artists and audiences alike into a more honest, vulnerable relationship with God.
